Brookwood Medical Center was founded in 1973 by a group of physicians whose dream was to quality, patient-centered care to our community. Since then, we’ve grown into a full-service medical center providing innovative health care services and programs to families throughout Alabama – including the state’s first medical center dedicated solely to the health care needs of women. Our dedicated staff of over 2,500 employees and more than 800 affiliated physicians offers an extensive range of health care services, including cardiovascular medicine and surgery, cancer care, orthopedics, neurology and neurosurgery, psychiatric and emergency services.
