As the regional medical center – and the only designated trauma center – in the Coachella Valley, we’re dedicated to the continuous improvement of the health and well-being of the communities we serve. We offer a broad array of quality specialty services, including a Comprehensive Cancer Center, Maternal Fetal Medicine Center (for high-risk pregnancies, the area’s only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit-risk pregnancies. Other specialties we’re proud to offer include the bariatrics program, the Institutes for Clinical Orthopedics and Neurosciences, and the Cardiovascular Institute of Palm Springs, the valley’s only acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. Additionally, we are known for the Nabisco Dinah Shore Wellness Center, the Health Key Plus senior program and Healthy Beginnings maternity program. Desert Regional Medical Center is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the nation’s oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.
