
CHRISTUS St. Michael's central location allows it to serve residents of Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Established in 1916 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, CHRISTUS St. Michael offers a full scope of expansive diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, wellness, and 24-hour per day emergency services ranging from the women's and children's arena to complete cancer services with a new cancer resource center.
The medical staff is comprised of over 250 physicians representing most specialties. CHRISTUS St. Michael contains critical/intensive care beds that are divided into specialty units including coronary care, cardiovascular intensive care, surgical intensive care and medical intensive care. The 32-bed Progressive Care, or Step-Down, unit, allows telemetry services. The 16-bed Respiratory Care Unit offers specialty services for patients needing respiratory support.
Outreach services include a fitness center, a senior health center, family clinics, a mobile health unit, the Northeast Texas Surgical Center, and pharmacies. Among the general medical/surgery services are day surgery, open-heart surgery and cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation.
